The Membership team is the heart of AMA Lincoln, working hard to build a thriving, connected community of local marketers. From answering member inquiries and fostering relationships to acting as a liaison with AMA Nationals and spearheading membership drives, the Membership team ensures our chapter continues to grow and flourish. Right now, we’ve got five AMAzing board members leading the charge. These are the folks making sure that whether you’re a long-time member or just joining, you feel welcome, supported, and ready to grow with AMA Lincoln!
What's a fun fact about yourself?
Kylie: I’m pretty terrified of the ocean ever since I got stung by a swarm of jellyfish. I can’t even watch movies set in the ocean or play video games with underwater scenes without feeling uneasy. Tessa: I paint in my free time! Check it out on Insta @wise_r.creations. Ty: I am a First Degree Black Belt and have been an AMA member for 10 years. Kayley: I have a miniature donkey named Zeke back home that is literally one year older than me (I’m 32!). Jennifer: I have been a member of AMA for 18 years and have had Husker volleyball season tickets for more than 20 years. GBR!
What is your favorite part about AMA Lincoln and why?
Kylie: I enjoy attending events and discovering new aspects of marketing that I might not know much about. As someone who loves to learn, I appreciate how skill schools, signature speakers, and roundtable discussions help me grow and improve as a marketer. Tessa: The best part of AMA is the community, it’s great to have others who share the same passion as me. Ty: The people in AMA Lincoln – rock stars that get it. Kayley: I love how fun and supportive this group of people is. Events are genuinely fun to go to! Jennifer: The people. They are my people. Some of my strongest connections, both personally and professionally are a result of my involvement in AMA Lincoln.
What advice do you have for young or new professionals in the area?
Kylie: Get out there and network! Connect with people in your community and get involved. Since joining AMA Lincoln, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many incredible individuals who have significantly contributed to my professional growth. Tessa: Don’t be afraid to join us at events. It can be scary, especially when you don’t know anyone, but I guarantee you’re not the only one who feels that way. Ty: Build your network & sharpen your communication skills. Kayley: Join a community of like-minded people. Connect and network! Jennifer: Engage in as many professional activities as possible and build your network. You never know when that small connection you made with someone could turn into something that truly changes your career path and life.

If you’ve been considering renewing your membership or becoming an AMA member, now is the perfect time to lock in your membership at the current rates! Even if your membership isn’t set to expire yet, renewing early extends your membership for an additional twelve months.
