DESCRIPTION:
Morgan Shaw Parker is the President of the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream and will share insights from her 27-year career navigating every level of the sports industry, including the NFL, Nike, the NBA, WNBA, Media, Agencies, and Broadcast. Morgan graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Business and will discuss the ever-evolving business landscape and how every industry can benefit from the way marketers think. She will talk about the importance of diversity, how to grow your own brand, and how to leverage your marketing expertise to realize your own purpose.

SPEAKER BIO:
Prior to the Atlanta Dream, Morgan served as Chief Marketing Officer at Arthur M. Blank Sports & Entertainment (AMBSE), where she led marketing and communications initiatives for the Atlanta Falcons and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
During her tenure, she lead her team to take home nine regional Emmy Awards, 19 regional Emmy nominations, 3 platinum, 2 gold AVA Digital Awards, 2 Webby Awards, and one Hashtag Sports Award.
Shaw Parker also spent more than a decade at NIKE, Inc. working on the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China, the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada, and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in addition to the NFL, MLB, NBA, WNBA, NCAA college football, as well as Nike men’s and women’s training, sportswear and running divisions.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle named Shaw Parker one of “2023’s Most Admired CEOs,” AdWeek named her as one of its “2019 Most Powerful Women in Sports,” and Sports Business Journal recognized her as a “Game Changer” in the sports industry in 2020 – an award given to women who are making an impact in sports business.
Shaw Parker sits on the board of the Atlanta Sports Council and plays an active role in schools and organizations that seek to empower women and create more diverse communities.
