In “Storytelling by Design,” join Mike Smith as he unpacks over 20 years of storytelling expertise, blending StoryBrand principles with guerrilla marketing tactics to teach young creatives how to craft compelling stories. This workshop will guide attendees in discovering their unique “wow factor,” defining their audience, and building authentic narratives that resonate. With hands-on exercises and insights from real-world experience, participants will walk away with the tools to tell their stories in ways that stand out, connect deeply, and make a lasting impact.

 

Speaker Bio:

Mike Smith, founder of The Bay and co-founder of Bay High, integrates skateboarding, music, and fashion into educational platforms for youth. The Bay, an award winning youth space was recognized by Vice as a “creative haven,” alongside Bay High, transforms education by centering on the youth experience. A Stanford-certified Design Your Life Coach and co-instructor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Mike has earned accolades such as the Nebraska Distinguished Entrepreneur Award and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Mike has also partnered with Microsoft, X Games, Vans, Red Bull, Puma, Tillys, Liquid Death and has been featured in Buzzfeed, Vice, and Forbes.
